Evander Holyfield (44-10-2, 29) was born in Atmore, Alabama, U.S. on October 19, 1962. At the age of 22 years on November 15, 1984, he made his professional boxing debut against Lionel Byarm, winning the fight via 6-round unanimous decision.

On his 12th career fight at 23 years old, Holyfield became a cruiserweight world champion on July 12, 1986 after defeating Dwight Muhammad Qawi via 15-round split decision to win the WBA title.

He then went on to become world champion at the heavyweight weight class as well, winning the WBA, WBC and IBF titles against Ricky Parkey via 3rd-round TKO on May 15, 1987.
