Buster Douglas (38-6-1, 25) was born in Columbus, Ohio, U.S. on April 7, 1960. At the age of 21 years on May 31, 1981, he made his professional boxing debut against Dan O'Malley, winning the fight via 3rd-round TKO.
On his 29th career fight at 27 years old, Buster Douglas got a shot at the IBF heavyweight titles against Tony Tucker on May 30, 1987 but lost the fight via 10th-round TKO.
