Tim Sylvia (31-10, 24) was born in Ellsworth, Maine, U.S. on March 5, 1976. At the age of 24 years on January 19, 2001, he made his professional MMA debut against Randy Durant, winning the fight via 1st-round TKO.
On September 27, 2002, 26-year old Tim Sylvia made his UFC debut on his 14th professional MMA fight at UFC 39 against a 23-year old Wesley Correira, winning the fight in the 2nd round via TKO.
