Graciano Rocchigiani (41-6-1, 19) was born in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany on December 29, 1963. At the age of 19 years on September 10, 1983, he made his professional boxing debut against Esperno Postl, winning the fight via 2nd-round TKO.
On his 24th career fight at 24 years old, Rocchigiani became a super-middleweight world champion on March 11, 1988 after defeating Vincent Boulware via 8th-round TKO to win the vacant IBF title.
He then went on to become world champion at the light-heavyweight weight class as well, winning the WBC title against Michael Nunn via 12-round split decision on March 21, 1998.
Rocchigiani's last fight was a 12-round unanimous decision loss to Thomas Ulrich at age 39 on May 10, 2003. He was on a 1-fight losing streak by his last fight.
