Genaro Hernández (Chicanito) was an American professional boxer. He was born in Los Angeles, California, U.S. on May 10, 1966. He was a super-featherweight world champion. Hernández died on June 7, 2011 at the age of 45 years. His professional boxing career spanned more than 14 years — from 1984 to 1998.
Hernández made his professional boxing debut against Dino Ramirez at the age of 18 on September 27, 1984, defeating Ramirez via 4 round PTS. He went on to win 26 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 13 wins via stoppage.
He had his first world title fight at the age of 25 on November 22, 1991 after 23 professional fights, against Daniel Londas for the super-featherweight WBA (vacant) title. He defeated Londas via 9th round TKO to become the super-featherweight champion of the world.
