Danny Garcia (37-4, 21) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. on March 20, 1988. At the age of 19 years on November 17, 2007, he made his professional boxing debut against Mike Denby, winning the fight via 1st-round KO.
On his 23rd career fight at 24 years old, Garcia became a super-lightweight world champion on March 24, 2012 after defeating Érik Morales via 12-round unanimous decision to win the vacant WBC title.
He then went on to become world champion at the welterweight weight class as well, winning the WBC title against Amir Khan via 4th-round TKO on July 14, 2012.
Garcia's last fight was a middleweight world-title fight against Erislandy Lara for Lara's WBA (Regular) title on September 14, 2024. He lost the fight via 9th-round retirement. He is on a 1-fight losing streak.
