Daigo Higa (21-3-3, 19) was born in Urasoe, Okinawa, Japan on August 9, 1995. At the age of 18 years on June 17, 2014, he made his professional boxing debut against Saengkeng Saknarong, winning the fight via 1st-round TKO.
On his 13th career fight at 21 years old, Higa became a flyweight world champion on May 20, 2017 after defeating Juan Hernández via 6th-round TKO to win the vacant WBC title.
