   On May 16, 2003 Vernon White defended his KOTC light heavyweight title against Jeremy Horn. White was 32 years old with a record of 20-22-1, and Horn was 27 with a record of 61-11-4. White was on a 6-fight winning streak and Horn was on a 11-fight winning streak. White lost via unanimous decision. Lost the title. Went the distance with Horn.

2. 2. Vernon White draws with Ian Freeman

   On June 6, 2003 Vernon White faced Ian Freeman in a heavyweight bout. White was 32 years old with a record of 20-23-1, and Freeman was 36 with a record of 14-6. White was coming off a loss, while Freeman was coming off a win. The fight ended in a unanimous decision.
