On December 10, 2009 Gideon Ray faced off against Luke Caudillo in a lightweight bout at age 36. He was coming in with a record of 17-11-1 (16), and Caudillo was 29 years old and with a record of 15-14 (11). Ray won the fight via 3-round unanimous decision.
