      Sergey Kovalev (Krusher) is a 41-year old Russian professional boxer. He was born in Kopeysk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union on April 2, 1983. He is a former light-heavyweight world champion.

      Kovalev made his professional boxing debut against Daniel Chavez at the age of 26 on July 25, 2009, defeating Chavez via 1st round TKO. He went on to win 15 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 13 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 30 on August 17, 2013 after 22 professional fights, against Nathan Cleverly for the light-heavyweight WBO title. He defeated Cleverly via 4th round TKO to become the light-heavyweight champion of the world.
