      Monte Barrett (Two Gunz) is a 52-year old retired American professional boxer. He was born in Greenville, North Carolina, U.S. on May 26, 1971. He retired without winning a major world title. His professional boxing career spanned more than 17 years — from 1996 to 2014.

      Barrett made his professional boxing debut against Jamal Edwards at the age of 25 on August 16, 1996, defeating Edwards via 1st round TKO. He went on to win 20 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 12 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 35 on October 7, 2006 after 35 professional fights, against Nikolai Valuev for the WBA title. He lost to Valuev via 11th round TKO.
