Shinsuke Yamanaka (27-2-2, 19) was born in Konan, Shiga, Japan on October 11, 1982. At the age of 23 years on January 7, 2006, he made his professional boxing debut against Hitoshi Takahashi, winning the fight via 6-round unanimous decision.
On his 17th career fight at 29 years old, Yamanaka became a bantamweight world champion on November 6, 2011 after defeating Christian Esquivel via 11th-round TKO to win the vacant WBC title.
