Reggie Johnson (44-7-1, 25) was born in Houston, Texas, U.S. on August 28, 1966. At the age of 17 years on August 14, 1984, he made his professional boxing debut against Mark Henderson, winning the fight via 4-round points decision.
On his 32nd career fight at 24 years old, Reggie Johnson got a shot at the IBF middleweight titles against James Toney on June 29, 1991 but lost the fight via 12-round split decision.
He became a middleweight world champion (WBA) on April 22, 1992 at the age of 25 years old, on his 34th career fight, after defeating Steve Collins via 12-round majority decision.
He then went on to become world champion at the light-heavyweight weight class as well, winning the IBF title against William Guthrie via 5th-round KO on February 6, 1998.
Johnson's last fight was a 12-round split decision win against Julio César González at age 41 on February 23, 2008. He retired with a 2-fight winning streak.
