On August 28, 2009 Juan Urango fought Randall Bailey in a super-lightweight world-title fight for Bailey's IBF title. Urango was 28 years old and with a record of 22-2-1 (17), and Bailey was 34 years old and with a record of 39-6 (35). Urango stopped Randall Bailey via 11th-round TKO and is crowned the new super-lightweight world champion.
On December 16, 2004 Juan Urango faced off against Ubaldo Hernandez in a super-lightweight bout at age 24. He was coming in with a record of 14-0-1 (11). Urango stopped Ubaldo Hernandez via TKO.
