George Groves (28-4, 20) was born in Hammersmith, West London, England on March 26, 1988. At the age of 20 years on November 15, 2008, he made his professional boxing debut against Kirilas Psonko, winning the fight via 6-round points decision.
On his 20th career fight at 25 years old, George Groves got a shot at the WBA (Unified) and IBF super-middleweight titles against Carl Froch on November 23, 2013 but lost the fight via 9th-round TKO.
He became a super-middleweight world champion (WBA (Super)) on May 27, 2017 at the age of 29 years old, on his 29th career fight, after defeating Fedor Chudinov via 6th-round TKO.
