Éder Jofre (72-2-4, 50) was born in São Paulo, SP, Brazil on March 26, 1936. At the age of 21 years on March 29, 1957, he made his professional boxing debut against Raul Lopez, winning the fight via 4th-round KO.
Jofre was elevated as the The Ring bantamweight world champion at the age of 25 years and had his first title defense fight against Ramon Arias on August 19, 1961. he successfully defended the title, winning the fight via 7th-round TKO.
Jofre's last fight was a 12-round unanimous decision win against Octavio Gomez at age 40 on October 8, 1976. He was on a 25-fight winning streak by his last fight.
