Brian Viloria (38-6, 23) was born in Waipahu, Hawaii, U.S. on November 24, 1980. At the age of 20 years on May 15, 2001, he made his professional boxing debut against Benjamin Escobia, winning the fight via 4-round unanimous decision.
On his 19th career fight at 24 years old, Viloria became a light-flyweight world champion on September 10, 2005 after defeating Eric Ortiz via 1st-round KO to win the WBC title.
He then went on to become world champion at the flyweight weight class as well, winning the WBO and WBA (Unified) titles against Ulises SolĂs via 11th-round KO on April 19, 2009.
Viloria's last fight was a flyweight world-title fight against Artem Dalakian for the vacant WBA title on February 24, 2018. He lost the fight via 12th-round unanimous decision. He retired from the sport of boxing following this loss.
