On November 17, 2012 Brian Viloria, the WBO champion, met Hernán Márquez, the WBA (Unified) champion, in a flyweight world-title unification fight. Viloria was 31 years old and with a record of 32-3 (19), and Márquez was 24 years old and with a record of 34-2 (25). Viloria stopped Hernán Márquez via 10th-round TKO and is crowned the unified WBO and WBA (Unified) champion.
On September 10, 2005 Brian Viloria fought Eric Ortiz in a light-flyweight world-title fight for Ortiz' WBC title. Viloria was 24 years old and with a record of 18-0 (12). Viloria stopped Eric Ortiz via 1st-round KO and is crowned the new light-flyweight world champion.
