On October 29, 1976 Saensak Muangsurin fought Miguel Velasquez in a super-lightweight world-title fight for Velasquez' WBC title. Muangsurin was 26 years old and with a record of 6-1 (5). Muangsurin stopped Miguel Velasquez via 2nd-round TKO and is crowned the new super-lightweight world champion.
