On October 30, 2021 Radzhab Butaev fought Jamal James in a welterweight world-title fight for James' WBA (Regular) title. Butaev was 27 years old and with a record of 14-0 (11), and James was 33 years old and with a record of 27-1 (12). Butaev stopped Jamal James via 9th-round TKO and is crowned the new welterweight world champion.
