On March 1, 2024 Tang Kai met Thanh Le in a featherweight (ONE Championship) title defense fight. Kai was 28 years old and with a record of 19-2 (15), and Le was 38 years old and with a record of 14-3 (14). Kai stopped Thanh Le via 3rd-round TKO and successfully defended his title.
On August 26, 2022 Tang Kai fought Thanh Le in a featherweight title fight for Le's ONE Championship title. Kai was 26 years old and with a record of 18-2 (14), and Le was 36 years old and with a record of 13-2 (13). Kai won the fight via 5-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new ONE featherweight champion.
On November 16, 2019 Tang Kai faced off against Edward Kelly in a lightweight bout at age 23. He was coming in with a record of 13-2 (11). Kai won the fight via 3-round unanimous decision.
