On July 16, 2007 Taiei Kin faced off against Kiyoshi Tamura in a light-heavyweight bout at age 37. He was coming in with a record of 2-1 (1), and Tamura was 37 years old and with a record of 29-12-3 (21). Kin won the fight via 2-round unanimous decision.
On December 31, 2006 Taiei Kin faced off against Tokimitsu Ishizawa in a light-heavyweight bout at age 36. He was coming in with a record of 1-1 (1). Kin stopped Tokimitsu Ishizawa via KO.
