  1. 6. Shinya Murofushi loses to Mitsuhisa Sunabe via KO

    On April 15, 2018 Shinya Murofushi fought Mitsuhisa Sunabe for the Pancrase strawweight title. Murofushi was 34 years old with a record of 13-5-1, and Sunabe was 38 with a record of 28-7-4. Murofushi was on a 2-fight winning streak and Sunabe was on a 15-fight winning streak. Sunabe stopped Murofushi via KO in the 2nd round. Failed to capture the title.

Naito submitted Murofushi via rear-naked choke in the 5th round. Lost the title.

    On November 19, 2010 Shinya Murofushi faced Mikihito Yamagami in a flyweight bout. Murofushi was 27 years old with a record of 6-2-1, and Yamagami was 23 with a record of 4-2. Both Murofushi and Yamagami were coming off a win. Murofushi lost via majority decision.
