On May 3, 2008 Savant Young faced off against Takeshi Inoue in a featherweight bout at age 31. He was coming in with a record of 9-7 (5), and Inoue was 28 years old and with a record of 10-10 (7). Young won the fight via 2-round unanimous decision.
