Umalatov was 32 years old with a record of 17-0, and Musaev was 30 with a record of 17-0-1. Umalatov was on an undefeated 17-fight winning streak and Musaev was on an undefeated 4-fight winning streak. Musaev stopped Umalatov via TKO in the 3rd round. Failed to win the vacant title.
