      Tony Tucker (TNT) is a 65-year old retired American professional boxer. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.S. on December 27, 1958. He is a former heavyweight world champion. His professional boxing career spanned more than 17 years — from 1980 to 1998.

      Tucker made his professional boxing debut against Chuck Gardner at the age of 21 on November 1, 1980, defeating Gardner via 3rd round KO. He went on to win 15 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 14 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 28 on May 30, 1987 after 34 professional fights, against Buster Douglas for the heavyweight IBF (vacant) title. He defeated Douglas via 10th round TKO to become the heavyweight champion of the world.
