Mayweather died on March 17, 2020 at the age of 58 years. His professional boxing career spanned more than 17 years — from 1981 to 1999.
Mayweather made his professional boxing debut against Andrew Ruiz at the age of 20 on July 29, 1981, defeating Ruiz via 1st round TKO. He went on to win 16 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 10 wins via stoppage.
