Vicente Rond贸n (40-16-1, 23) was born in San Jos茅 de R铆o Chico, Venezuela on July 29, 1938. At the age of 26 years on June 28, 1965, he made his professional boxing debut against Jose Caraballo, winning the fight via 3rd-round KO.
On his 38th career fight at 32 years old, Rond贸n became a light-heavyweight world champion on February 27, 1971 after defeating Jimmy Dupree via 6th-round KO to win the vacant WBA title.
Rond贸n's last fight was a 2nd-round TKO loss to Jos茅 Roman at age 35 on June 6, 1974. He was on a 5-fight losing streak by his last fight.
