López was 23 years old and with a record of 16-0 (12), and Lomachenko was 32 years old and with a record of 14-1 (10). López won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and and is crowned the unified IBF, WBA (Super), WBO and The Ring champion.
On June 10, 2023 Teófimo López fought Josh Taylor in a super-lightweight world-title fight for Taylor's WBO and The Ring titles. López was 25 years old and with a record of 19-1 (13), and Taylor was 32 years old and with a record of 19-0 (13). López won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new super-lightweight world champion.
