Saensak Muangsurin (14-6, 11) was born in Tambon Ban Sadiang, Amphoe Mueang Phetchabun, Phetchabun province, Thailand on August 13, 1950. At the age of 24 years on November 16, 1974, he made his professional boxing debut against Rudy Barro, winning the fight via 1st-round KO.
On his 3rd career fight at 24 years old, Muangsurin became a super-lightweight world champion on July 15, 1975 after defeating Perico Fernandez via 8th-round KO to win the WBC title.
