Ricardo Torres (33-2, 29) was born in Magangue, Colombia on February 16, 1980. At the age of 21 years on March 30, 2001, he made his professional boxing debut against Ramon Otero, winning the fight via 1st-round KO.
On his 31st career fight at 26 years old, Torres became a super-lightweight world champion on November 18, 2006 after defeating Mike Arnaoutis via 12-round split decision to win the vacant WBO title.
