Oscar Collazo (12-0, 9) was born in Newark, New Jersey, U.S. on January 15, 1997. At the age of 23 years on February 15, 2020, he made his professional boxing debut against Vicente Castro Cheneque, winning the fight via 3rd-round TKO.
On his 7th career fight at 26 years old, Collazo became a strawweight world champion on May 27, 2023 after defeating Melvin Jerusalem via 7th-round retirement to win the WBO title.
Collazo's last fight was a strawweight (WBO, WBA, The Ring) world-title defense against Edwin Cano Hernandez on March 29, 2025. He stopped Hernandez via KO in the 5th round, successfully defending the titles. He is currently undefeated and is on a 12-fight winning streak.
