On October 13, 1992 Nate Miller faced off against Dwight Muhammad Qawi in a cruiserweight bout at age 29. He was coming in with a record of 21-3 (17), and Qawi was 39 years old and with a record of 39-9-1 (24). Miller won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision.
On July 22, 1995 Nate Miller fought Orlin Norris in a cruiserweight world-title fight for Norris' WBA title. Miller was 31 years old and with a record of 26-4 (22), and Norris was 29 years old and with a record of 43-3 (24). Miller stopped Orlin Norris via 8th-round KO and is crowned the new cruiserweight world champion.
On February 15, 1989 Nate Miller faced off against Bert Cooper in a cruiserweight bout at age 25. He was coming in with a record of 14-1 (12), and Cooper was 23 years old and with a record of 20-3 (17). Miller stopped Bert Cooper via retirement.
On February 22, 1997 Nate Miller met Alexander Gurov in a cruiserweight (WBA) world-title defense fight. Miller was 33 years old and with a record of 30-4 (26). Miller stopped Alexander Gurov via 2nd-round TKO and successfully defended his title.
