Masamichi Yabuki (19-4, 18) was born in Suzuka, Mie, Japan on July 9, 1992. At the age of 23 years on March 27, 2016, he made his professional boxing debut against Shohei Horii, winning the fight via 1st-round TKO.
On his 16th career fight at 29 years old, Yabuki became a light-flyweight world champion on September 22, 2021 after defeating Kenshiro Teraji via 10th-round TKO to win the WBC title.
He then went on to become world champion at the flyweight weight class as well, winning the IBF title against Sivenathi Nontshinga via 9th-round TKO on October 12, 2024.
