On June 14, 1987 Kyung-Yung Lee fought Masaharu Kawakami in a strawweight world-title fight for Kawakami's IBF title. Lee was 20 years old and with a record of 11-0 (4). Lee stopped Masaharu Kawakami via 2nd-round KO and is crowned the new strawweight world champion.
