On November 21, 2015 Francisco Vargas fought Takashi Miura in a super-featherweight world-title fight for Miura's WBC title. Vargas was 30 years old and with a record of 23-0-1 (17), and Miura was 31 years old and with a record of 29-2-2 (22). Vargas stopped Takashi Miura via 9th-round TKO and is crowned the new super-featherweight world champion.
