    On January 3, 1967 Fighting Harada met José Medel in a bantamweight (WBA, WBC and The Ring) world-title defense fight. Harada was 23 years old and with a record of 46-3 (17), and Medel was 28 years old and with a record of 63-20-6 (39). Harada won the fight via 15-round unanimous decision and successfully defended his titles.

    On May 18, 1965 Fighting Harada fought Éder Jofre in a bantamweight world-title fight for Jofre's WBA, WBC and The Ring titles. Harada was 22 years old and with a record of 39-3 (17), and Jofre was 29 years old and with a record of 47-0-3 (37). Harada won the fight via 15-round split decision and is crowned the new bantamweight world champion.

    On October 10, 1962 Fighting Harada fought Pone Kingpetch in a flyweight world-title fight for Kingpetch's WBA and The Ring titles.
