Daniel Geale (31-5, 16) was born in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia on February 26, 1981. At the age of 23 years on October 1, 2004, he made his professional boxing debut against Danny Bellert, winning the fight via 3rd-round KO.
On his 26th career fight at 30 years old, Geale became a middleweight world champion on May 7, 2011 after defeating Sebastian Sylvester via 12-round split decision to win the IBF title.
