Baek In-Chul (47-3, 43) was born in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea on December 20, 1961. At the age of 18 years on May 9, 1980, he made his professional boxing debut against Joong-Jung Park, winning the fight via 2nd-round KO.
On his 43rd career fight at 25 years old, Baek In-Chul got a shot at the WBA super-welterweight titles against Julian Jackson on November 21, 1987 but lost the fight via 3rd-round TKO.
He became a super-middleweight world champion (WBA) on May 28, 1989 at the age of 27 years old, on his 47th career fight, after defeating Fulgencio Obelmejias via 11th-round TKO.
In-Chul's last fight was a super-middleweight (WBA) world-title defense against Christophe Tiozzo on March 30, 1990. He lost the fight via 6th-round TKO. He retired from the sport of boxing following this loss.
