      Edwin Valero (El Inca) was a Venezuelan professional boxer. He was born in Bolero Alto, Mérida, Venezuela on December 3, 1981. He was a two-weight-class world champion. Valero died on April 19, 2010 at the age of 28 years. His professional boxing career spanned more than 7 years — from 2002 to 2010.

      Valero made his professional boxing debut against Eduardo Hernandez at the age of 20 on July 9, 2002, defeating Hernandez via 1st round TKO. He would go on to remain undefeated till his last fight.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 24 on August 5, 2006 after 19 professional fights, against Vicente Mosquera for the super-featherweight WBA title. He defeated Mosquera via 10th round TKO to become the super-featherweight champion of the world.
