    On June 21, 2003 Vitali Klitschko fought Lennox Lewis for the IBO, The Ring, and WBC heavyweight titles. Klitschko was 31 years old with a record of 32-1, and Lewis was 37 with a record of 40-2-1. Klitschko was on a 5-fight winning streak and Lewis was on a 2-fight winning streak. Lewis stopped Klitschko via TKO in the 6th round. Failed to capture the title.

  2. 1. Vitali Klitschko loses to Chris Byrd via KO

    On April 1, 2000 Vitali Klitschko defended his WBO heavyweight title against Chris Byrd. Klitschko was 28 years old with a record of 27-0, and Byrd was 29 with a record of 30-1. Klitschko was on an undefeated 27-fight winning streak and Byrd was on a 4-fight winning streak. Byrd stopped Klitschko via retirement in the 9th round. Lost the title. Lasted into the 9th round.
