On October 17, 2020 Vasyl Lomachenko, the WBA (Super), WBO and The Ring champion, met Teofimo López, the IBF champion, in a lightweight world-title unification fight. Lomachenko was 32 years old and with a record of 14-2 (10), and López was 23 years old and with a record of 15-0 (12). Lomachenko lost the fight via 12-round unanimous decision and lost his titles.
