On July 19, 2025 Tim Tszyu fought Sebastian Fundora for the vacant WBC super welterweight title. It was their second meeting. Tszyu was 30 years old with a record of 25-2, and Fundora was 27 with a record of 22-1-1. Tszyu was coming off a win and Fundora was on a 2-fight winning streak. Fundora stopped Tszyu via retirement in the 7th round. Failed to win the vacant title.
