On October 19, 2024 Tim Tszyu fought Bakhram Murtazaliev in a super-welterweight world-title fight for Murtazaliev's IBF title. Tszyu was 29 years old and with a record of 24-2 (17), and Murtazaliev was 31 years old and with a record of 22-0 (16). Tszyu lost the fight via 3rd-round TKO.
On March 30, 2024 Tim Tszyu, the WBO champion, met Sebastian Fundora, the WBC champion, in a super-welterweight world-title unification fight. Tszyu was 29 years old and with a record of 24-1 (17), and Fundora was 26 years old and with a record of 20-1-1 (13). Tszyu lost the fight via 12-round split decision and lost his title.
