On December 1, 2017 Naoko Fujioka fought Yokasta Valle in a light-flyweight world-title fight for the WBO title. Fujioka was 42 years old and with a record of 17-2 (7), and Valle was 25 years old and with a record of 13-0 (6). Fujioka won the fight via 10-round unanimous decision and is crowned the new light-flyweight world champion.
