On April 14, 2007 Jorge Solis fought Manny Pacquiao for the WBC International super featherweight title. Solis was 27 years old with a record of 34-0-2, and Pacquiao was 28 with a record of 43-3-2. Solis was on an undefeated 7-fight winning streak and Pacquiao was on a 4-fight winning streak. Pacquiao stopped Solis via KO in the 8th round. Failed to capture the title.
