    On April 12, 2025 Eimantas Stanionis, the WBA welterweight champion, met Jaron Ennis, the IBF welterweight champion, in a title unification fight. Stanionis was 30 years old with a record of 15-0, and Ennis was 27 with a record of 33-0. Stanionis was on an undefeated 2-fight winning streak and Ennis was on an undefeated 7-fight winning streak. Ennis stopped Stanionis via retirement in the 6th round. Lost the title in unification.
