      Andre Berto (The Beast) is a 40-year old American professional boxer. He was born in Winter Haven, Florida, U.S. on September 7, 1983. He is a former welterweight world champion.

      Berto made his professional boxing debut against Michael Robinson at the age of 21 on December 4, 2004, defeating Robinson via 3rd round TKO. He went on to win 26 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 20 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 24 on June 21, 2008 after 21 professional fights, against Miguel Ángel Rodríguez for the welterweight WBC (vacant) title. He defeated Rodríguez via 7th round TKO to become the welterweight champion of the world.
