      Thomas Tate (ICE-T) is a 58-year old retired American professional boxer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA on December 19, 1965. He retired without winning a major world title. His professional boxing career spanned more than 13 years — from 1989 to 2002.

      Tate made his professional boxing debut against Maurice Daugherty at the age of 23 on February 12, 1989, defeating Daugherty via 3rd round TKO. He went on to win 21 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 17 wins via stoppage.

      He had his first world title fight at the age of 26 on August 1, 1992 after 25 professional fights, against Julian Jackson for the WBC title. He lost to Jackson via 12 round unanimous decision.

      Tate had a total of seven losses in his professional boxing career.

      His last professional fight was on June 1, 2002 against German boxer Sven Ottke for Ottke's super-middleweight IBF title. Tate lost the fight via 12 round unanimous decision. It's been 22 years and 20 days since this fight.
