Francisco Villaruel Guilledo (Pancho Villa) was a Filipino professional boxer. He was born in Ilog, Negros Occidental, U.S. Military Government of the Philippine Islands on August 1, 1901. He was a flyweight world champion. He died on July 14, 1925 at the age of 23 years. Villa was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in 1994. His professional boxing career spanned more than 6 years — from 1919 to 1925.
Villa made his professional boxing debut against Alberto Castro at the age of 17 on January 1, 1919, defeating Castro via 3rd round KO. He went on to win 17 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 5 wins via stoppage.
