      Lucian Bute (Le Tombeur) is a 44-year old retired Romanian professional boxer. He was born in Pechea, Galați, Socialist Republic of Romania on February 28, 1980. He is a former super-middleweight world champion. His professional boxing career spanned more than 13 years — from 2003 to 2017.

      Bute made his professional boxing debut against Robert Muhammad at the age of 23 on November 22, 2003, defeating Muhammad via 2nd round TKO. He went on to win 29 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included 23 wins via stoppage.
